You can reduce the risk of drains becoming blocked by tree roots.
1. First of all, any replacement pipes should be replaced with PVC pipes which present less moisture than the older clay pipes and are much more impervious to tree root break-through.
2. You can consider clearing existing offending trees if the problem seems extensive.
