Helen from Malvern East suspected that she had a gas leak at her house. She immediately contacted her gas company who turned her gas off and advised her to call a plumber. Helen chose to work with O’Shea Plumbing and Adam (O’Shea Plumber) was sent over to investigate.
After conducting a gas pressure test from the gas meter, Adam was able to confirm that there was, in fact, a gas leak on the property. He also discovered during his investigation that Helen’s hot water service was faulty.
Adam explained his findings to Helen and presented her with some options to choose from that would solve the issue. In addition to solving the gas leak, Helen decided that she would like to renew her hot water service. The O’Shea Mount Waverley office organised for her new system to be installed on the same day that the gas leak was to be repaired. This would make the job as efficient as possible for the O’Shea team and would also make Helen’s life easier by being in her home for the shortest time possible.
The following day, Andrew and Dani, his apprentice, arrived and completed the job so that Helen had hot water that very evening. Helen was delighted to have her new Rinnai hot water unit up and running, to be able to get hot water to her taps and be reassured that her gas installation as safe. Nice work team!
The work for this particular job included:
- The supply and installing of new Rinnai hot water unit with a new valve kit
- Running of the new gas copper line from the gas meter, underground, across to a wall, and up the external wall to new the hot water unit
- The cold water pipe was cut into 15 mm cold water pipe just near the location of the new unit
- The hot water supply taken from the unit, along the external brick wall to the back of the kitchen sink. A series of holes were drilled to get the pipe into a cupboard, cutting a tee into the hot water line.
