David has needed the service of O’Shea Plumbing a few times in the past 10 years. Over these years, O’Shea Plumbing has fixed washing machine taps, replaced a Hot Water Unit as well as installed a new toilet.
On this particular occasion, David rang up the O’Shea Mt Waverley base stating that every time it rained water would overflow into his neighbour’s property. David asked if a team member of O’Shea Plumbing come and give some advice and potentially fix the issue.
The next morning Andrew arrived and introduced himself. Andrew took the time to remind David of how the O’Shea Plumbing service works and then investigated the overflow situation.
It was clear to Andrew that the stormwater drain was blocked, with only three reasonable options to attempt to fix this. 1) Renew stormwater drain entirely or sections of it , 2) Attempt to clear with a cable machine, or 3) attempt to clear with a water jet.
Andrew and David discussed these options and David opted to proceed with attempting to clear the blocked drain with a cable machine. Andrew began works immediately clearing a couple of small blockages, however, he was unable to clear the main blockage which was causing the issue.
Andrew used a large number of cables to attempt to clear the blockage, which approximately put him in line with the council’s stormwater barrel drain. Unfortunately, the blockage could not be cleared from here and would require digging up in the nature strip or getting the council to see if they could check their drain for any blockage.
Andrew informed David of the situation and he said he appreciated Andrew’s honesty. David would now try and pester the council to check their drains – which if it worked, would mean no more money to be spent on the drain by David .
David was so impressed with the service Andrew and the O’Shea Plumbing team provided that he sent an email through to the owner and operator of O’Shea Plumbing stating “I just wanted to advise that I found Andrew a highly competent and friendly plumber and valued his advice.
